Occupying the north side of the second floor, The Chatelaine Suite was originally the mansion’s nursery and water closet and today stands as its grandest private retreat. The suite centers around a rare antique Austrian king-size bed, crafted in solid walnut and arranged in the historically accurate late-1800s style of paired bed frames supporting a single king mattress. Rich red velvet drapery with fringe, tall windows, and period furnishings create a romantic, deeply atmospheric setting.
