Summary: My husband and I were aware that we were going to a remote area of Costa Rica, eventhough we are very sociable people. Turns out, this was exactly what made this place a little slice of heaven. Marbella is a charming town with great, friendly locals. The beach is beautiful! There is an awesome tiki hut (bar/reataurant) feet away from the water with great staff. I also signed up to the local yoga classes which was minutes away from the house. Perfect location for a yoga studio. Cecilia is an amazing instructor and all around beautiful person that exudes great energy. As for casa urraca, we couldn't ask for a better house. Small, yet great space for 2-4 people. The pool was definitely needed as the temperature was on average 34°C. The bbq area was different than what I have ever experienced but made for great meals. We would gather drift wood and make a fire for the BBQ. Great vibe at night. The pool maintenance man and house cleaner were so delightful. Eventhough my husband and I do not speak Spanish (shamefully), we were able to communicate with Jenny and Carlos in our own way. It was fun. Many laughs were had. The community of lomas del sol is gorgeous. The walks in the early morning and at sunset were incredible. What a view! The houses are beautiful! Reminded us of Malibu. The guards were pleasant and took their jobs seriously, in the friendliest way. Andriana, the property manager was more than helpful during the entire 4 weeks that we stayed there. The owners must be so pleased to have her. She would send us local events and suggest different excursions. She really knew how to read our likes and wants and would send suggestions accordingly. We met great people in the small town of marbella that we will cherish forever. I already miss casa urraca and marbella and will definitely be returning.
