The 100 foot frontage has wonderful sand bottom. Dock and mooring for boats. Large stone fireplace on main floor, gas fireplace in upstairs bedroom overlooking the lake. Many antiques. The living area has 60 feet of windows giving 160 degree view of lake as you dine.
This cottage is central to all the best vacation attractions in Northern Michigan; about equidistant to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Northport, Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Good Harbor Beach, Sugar Loaf, Interlochen (featuring a superb summer concert schedule), Leelanau, and many other parks, attractions, and amusements). And the fishing on Lake Leelanau is among the best in the region. No smokers and no pets please.
Only a short distance from the cottage, take a pleasant boat or canoe trip along the Cedar River through the Pere Marquette State Forest and National Area 3 miles into Cedar and enjoy some of the best unspoiled scenery in the region (an adventurer may continue for miles toward Lime Lake or along other tributaries). Or take a longer excursion the entire length of Lake Leelanau through the narrows, down the Carp River to Leland; moor right up to some of the best restaurants around.
