2 Bedroom House in Vieja, Santa Clara
We built this as a vacation home to live in when we come back to Costa Rica in the summers. We love it, it's got a little Costa Rica and a little of our comforts of home. It's a great place to unwind and escape the rat race. We think you'll love it too. The house is located just outside of the small town of Santa Clara, just off the main route to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano (about 30 minutes), so you're just a short drive from hot springs, zip lines, and white water rafting. Santa Clara provides amenities such as supermarkets and nice restaurants, but you're within 15 minutes drive of Ciudad Quesada should you need the retail comforts of the US (Walmart, Subway, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, etc.). Our place is close to everything but just far enough out of town for the rural countryside feel. We love waking up to the sounds of toucans visiting our balcony and picking fresh fruits off the many trees that are on our property (Avocado, Guava, Papaya, Banana). To the east is a field of plantain and bananas, to the back is a large cattle ranch, and to the west is my sister and brother in law's place, who manage our place and will take care of your needs while you're there.
***Update: We have just completed construction of a new rancho with outdoor kitchen/grill. Including covered space for 2 vehicles.
