On a bike path; steps from a trail head. Two minute downhill walk through fir trees and ferns from the parking pad to the house by the water.
20 minutes to Seattle; 12 minutes to downtown Bellevue and Redmond.
This secluded studio is in a beautiful, peaceful waterfront spot, has it's own private beach, yet it's Bellevue location is minutes from Redmond, Issaquah, and Seattle.
The beach and deck are great spots for watching sun and moon rises. Ducks, herons, and eagles visit daily. You can see the Cascades Mountains in the distance on clear days. The lake water is clean and great for summer swimming.
The deck is perfect for a morning cup of coffee, meals, and hanging out. After a day of touring Seattle or working at a nearby tech company, go for a swim, sip a glass of wine on the beach, take out the kayak, watch the moon rise over the water.
The studio features what the host would want in a place to stay: Good reading lamps, comfortable bed and pillows, hardwood floors, no air circulation between the main house and studio, radiant baseboard heat regulated from within the room, privacy, and a stunning view.
It's a 45 minute drive to hiking and skiing on Snoqualmie Pass in the Cascades; 1.5 hours to Mt. Rainier National Park; 20 minutes to downtown Seattle and the Pike Place Market.
Host takes extra care to keep studio spotless, and follows AirBnB enhanced cleaning protocol, to ensure the space is disinfected, aired out, and sparkling clean. The host has allergies herself, and is very diligent about cleaning the space, and strictly observes the no pet or service animal policy.
Guest access
In addition to your studio and deck, you'll have access to the laundry room, wooded back yard, side yard and beach.
There is a mooring buoy in front of the house, in case you want to bring your boat. You'd put the boat in the water at Vasa Park, 2 miles south, or from Lake Sammamish State Park, on the south end of the lake.
A special note to my past guests: I have taken your suggestions and added a private entrance and deck, and a limited kitchenette, making the room it's own private studio space. You are most welcome to come back and visit!
Other things to note
The path leading from the parking pad to the house is a 2 minute walk along a downhill wooded path through the trees and ferns. This is the "decompression zone", where you leave the outside world and worries behind.
There are motion sensor lights in the trees for night walking. There are photos of the path above. Carry-on bags with rollers and/or backpack straps make it easier to navigate the path. Call me if you need help with your bags; I'd be glad to help.
