Soaring Eagle is perched on 407 ' of Hinckley Lake with huge private beach access. It is an all season year round vacation home. Modern, open concept home is surrounded by lake and forest views . In the winter you can snowmobile out the door to the extensive NYS snowmobile trails. Trails to hike, cross country ski or snowshoe are also abundant. Bring your fishing gear!
The home is set on 20 private acres. The home is bright with many windows and has an open concept flow. The home is decorated in Adirondack theme decor with many original art pieces. It is a home you and your friends and family can gather and enjoy one another and the nature that surrounds you all!
The trail to the beach is an easy to moderate hike as I compare it to the classification of NYS hiking trails. Bringing kayaks to beach is possible, yet the hike back up the hill may be too challenging for some. I recommend using the public boat launch for all portages of boats. Please refer to the pictures of the trail to the beach. A motor boat may be moored at beach- but no dock available.
My favorite SUMMER things to do:
Swim in the lake! Walk the beach. It is a steep walk to the beach with trails and three sets of stairs, but once down- so worth the hike. The water levels do fluctuate on Hinckley Lake. Normally, the primitive beach is sandy with much driftwood to collect or have a bonfire lakeside. Walk shore to collect drift wood. Sit on ski chair for sunsets. Bring your mountain bikes and 4 wheelers to ride the trails. Hike the trails. Fish the lake abundant with fish! Relax on the deck.
My favorite WINTER things to do: Hike the private trails in snow shoes. Snowmobile. Cross country ski. Downhill Ski at Gore (76 miles away) or McCauley( 50 miles) or Oak Mountain (36 miles away). Have a winter picnic. Ice fish. Sit around the fire ring. Sit around the fire table and relax. Watch the sun set. Watch the birds at the bird feeder. Better yet- watch the soaring eagles over the lake as you relax in the living room. Eat out and explore the area.
The home is located in a rural area and has secondary roads outside the immediate area- yet well maintained. The nearest large grocery store is 24 miles away. A family owned full service grocery store is 15 miles away. There is a convenient gas station across the lake. There are two wonderful restaurants within a few miles from the home. You may feel that you are staying in a place disconnected from all- you really are not- that is what makes this place so special!
