Though nestled among the trees and tucked beyond the woodlands, this cavernous Mountain Lodge Chalet is the standout getaway for couples, small families, and large groups alike. The space sleeps up to nine (three bedrooms) and has multiple couches and seating areas for the whole gang to make themselves comfortable with plenty to do!
The space
The main level flaunts sturdy hardwood floors, which lead you to the breathtaking living/dining area. It will be hard to miss the massive window panels, which line the far wall and allow tons of natural sunlight to pour through the space. The living room’s lengthy wrapround couch can seat the entire family in front of the large Smart TV and directly across from the cozy fireplace. The sliding doors lead to the patio area, which includes a BBQ grill and fire pit, as well as more seating in the spacious backyard. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal or a beverage on a warm evening – or, if it’s a bit cold outside, you can head into the enclosed “outdoor” room off the main deck. Back inside the chalet, you can help yourself to our assortment of board games – located inside the coffee table in the basement – or some sporting goods in the garage. There are bathrooms on all three levels. The top level features a bedroom with a desk and tidy workspace for those traveling on the job. On warmer days, guests can venture out to spend a day on Big Bass Lake, or enjoy a winter’s stroll through the foliage. Families may want to bring the kids to “Claws ‘N’ Paws Animal Park” or check out the nearby Mountain Creek riding stables. Groups may want to head over to nearby Hammerjax Bar & Grill, or take a tour of nearby Tobyhanna and Gouldsboro State Parks.
