Catskill Park Manor House is a luxurious estate located on 131 private acres, designed by renowned architect Peter Pennoyer for writer Louis Auchincloss (a relative of Jacquie O). We have mountain views from every room, wood burning fireplace, tv room, toys, dining for 10+, two lawns, library, fire pit, private hiking trails. Local attractions include fly fishing,kayaking on the Neversink reservoir, the frost valley YMCA, gambling in Monticello, claryville pottery, antique shops, organic farms!
Our house is large and comfortable. We have books and pillows everywhere! Offer you fine toiletries and ALL furniture (except for some antiques ), linens, towels, kitchen items were purchased in nov or dec 2018. We have a SONOS system, WIFI, fire pit, new grill, outdoor furniture, sleds for the winter. Our home is unique as it was designed after a Swedish farm house with many interesting features including a car port, library, long hallways, rotunda, 131 acres to hike! It’s rooms are spacious and while we aim for luxury, everyone feels comfortable and welcomed! We have no neighbors but can buy fresh eggs or maple syrup 3 minutes away, can buy bbq 13 mins away at the Neversink general store, hike and go in the river right on our property!
If you give us plenty of notice, we can arrange catering for you at great prices! We ask that you treat our brand new and antique furnishings as if they were yours! No shoes in the house please.. :)
We are happy to chat with you about any issues but will leave you alone unless you contact us. We also have a caretaker who lives 5 minutes away that is available for emergencies. There is a landline but we ask that it is only used for emergencies.
This high-end estate is tucked away at the end of an 800-foot drive on 131 private acres. Local attractions include the swimming hole, kayaking on the reservoir, skiing, farm visits, gambling in Monticello, pottery, antique shops, great restaurants.
You need a four wheel drive car to get to the house in the winter and in particular on wet/snowy days. Our driveway is 800 feet long, the house is located in the mountain.. the views are spectacular :)
There is spotty reception when you are about 15 minutes away from the house. Make sure you have access to directions. Once the GPS tell you that you are 1 minute away, you look for the # 38 on the mailbox if you stay to the right after the small bridge- that is where the driveway is---keep going. If you crossed a second bridge, you have gone too far.
No shoes in the house please
Never leave food outside the house- even in deck area as it attracts animals
Leave all windows closed
Please leave kitchen in the same condition you found it- clean dishes
