To reach the beach, turn left out of the house, walk past two houses, and take the sand trail down to the beach.
To reach the community center and resort pool by car, go out to 98 and take your first right into the parking lot.
There aren’t many restaurants close so we usually meal plan/prep and shop before coming. There’s an IGA 15min away and a Publix 30min away. The Publix will deliver groceries through Instacart and we’ve had a great experience with it. Trident is a local restaurant-delicious! Apalachicola is a cute town-the bakery is great! The bakery in Sopchoppy is a new favorite-I love their cold brew.
With a little one around keep an eye out for water moccasins in tall grass by the pond. We keep the kids in the lawn and haven’t had a problem.
Do the “sting ray shuffle” at the beach. There are lots of critters and even some pokey things that hurt. We tend to wear shoes in the water at high tide.
Franklin County has a leave no trace policy at the beach which will be enforced. Please take all of your tents, chairs, toys, etc home every day. Fill all holes the kids have dug before you leave for the day.
You'll be given codes to the home, locker rooms, and pool for your stay. You’ll need to have one of the green wrist bands with you when you’re at the pool. We just put it on the wagon to bring all of our stuff and that works.

The two front bedrooms have queen beds.
The back bedroom has a king bed and it's own bathroom.
The hall bedroom has 2 triple bunkbeds- space for up to 6 kids! We do not recommend adult-sized humans sleep on the bunk beds. The bottom floor bunks are fine, but they are not ideal for a bigger person.
There is a smart TV in the primary bedroom in the back and the main TV is the Epson projector. in the living room It is the big white box on the entertainment center. It is perfectly calibrated for that wall and on that table-please don’t touch it. Use the remote for it like you would a tv and it will project on the wall behind it. It’s pretty amazing 😃
There is a firepit outside. Please put the cover back on only after it's cool!
There’s a couple of lower cabinets with baby locks on them. It’s not exciting stuff-just some art supplies the kids don’t want to share.
You're walking distance to the beach from the house. There is a magnet on the refrigerator with a golf cart company that delivers to the area if you're interested!

Leave sandy shoes outside on front porch. No sand in the house. We like to rinse off in the outside shower.
The bunkbeds aren’t for roughhousing-the slats are fragile. Adults and big/older kids on the bottom bunks only.
No smoking or vaping inside.
Bears are a real problem. Don’t leave any food in your car or outside. Make sure all trash goes in the trash cans and the bear box is shut tight.
