Charming very well maintained fully furnished and equipped one bedroom rental apartment on two levels with it's own private garden patio in Ciudad Colon. Very convenient, located close to the University of Peace, the charming town center of Ciudad Colon with its famous organic market and 4 minutes to the highway 27 towards San Jose and only 15 minutes from the hospital CIMA, Multiplaza shopping mall and 1 hour to the Pacific Coast beaches, volcanoes and numerous other nature attractions.
The house is in a professional private, gated community in a secure and quiet area off the main road. Parking for one car is provided on the property.
Temperature ranges in Costa Rica vary significantly by elevation. At our elevation the typical daily range is 67° / 84°F (19° / 29°C). At the beach it's 77°/ 92°F(25°/33°C) and humid. In the mountains like Monteverde it's 61/64° F (16/18° C). If you venture even higher in the mountains you will experience even colder temperature nearing freezing. So bring sweater and pants along with those shorts.
Having lived in different areas has taught us that we find the constant heat and humidity of the beach hard to tolerate for extended periods. Housing in Costa Rica is generally poorly insulated and electricity is extremely expensive so it's unlikely you'll find anyplace to cool off if your living at the beach. Similarly a house in the higher elevations with pools have very chilly water.
