A second launch to the bayou, only a mile away, expands your options for boating, kayaking, and exploring.
Inside, the home is a haven for artists and makers. Guests are invited to enjoy an art and crafts experience with supplies and inspiration provided in the third bedroom which doubles as the art room. You’ll find a selection of sketchpads, colored pencils, paints, brushes, pencils, canvas, yarn, knitting and crocheting tools, glue guns, and even a sewing mannequin for fabric-based projects. Whether you want to unwind with a watercolor on the nearby pier, knit a cozy piece on the porch, or create a wreath using found coastal treasures, everything you need is here. We have MANY different art supplies not listed so ask if you're curious. Local art classes in different mediums are always available and can be sent upon request.
For those who love to explore and create, self-guided foraging tours are provided to encourage guests to gather natural materials—like shells, moss, and vines—from the nearby woods and shoreline for their art and craft projects. Step outside, breathe in the salt air, and let the natural world inspire your next creation. Foraging walks with a local herbalist to discover native species and their traditional uses are available upon request. Please inquire in advance about costs and seasonal plants.
Ample parking includes a double garage and a driveway approximately 17 feet wide by 31 feet long, with additional parking on the side yard (26 feet wide x 36 feet long).
