Casa Rayo de Luna is a property (2 hectares) that belongs to a Costa Rican family.
Within this property you will find our home as well as a forest, which you can visit during your stay with us. Our home will allow you to take walks through the trails, birdwatch, it is the perfect place to relax and connect with nature.
We strive to create a safe and comfortable space for everyone.
The space
We are strategically located 1 km from Santa Elena town. Our accommodation is located 250 meters from the main road. You can easily move by car to the different attractions that the area offers, and since the place is very safe, you can get to the center of town on foot or by taxi. The property is close to the main adventure parks, reserves, restaurants, supermarkets, cafeterias, gas stations, among others.
Our accommodation is a large house, which is divided into three separate rooms (two doubles and one quadruple). Each of the bedrooms has a private entrance and its own bathroom. Our home provides services such as hot water in all rooms, high-speed WiFi connection and a delicious breakfast included.
In the reception area, you can find a fridge for shared use among the guests and detailed information on all the tours that can be done in the area. In the same way, we can help you organize your activities in Monteverde during your stay.
Guest access
Access to the property can be done by any type of vehicle, bus or walking. Inside the property we have common areas, such as the dining room, a terrace and outdoor benches for bird watching.
By staying at our accommodation, you can access the trails of the Refugio de Vida Silvestre during the day for free.
You can use the laundry service, for an additional cost of: $10 (first kilo), $1 (additional kilo)
We also have free trails within the property and free parking!
Other things to note
In addition to the family, we have a lovely and very friendly dog named Thor (Golden Retriever), which you can see in our photos. Thor is regularly exploring the forest and the property, so he won't bother you during your stay.
