This charming home has been completely remodeled and redecorated as an upscale hideaway, perfect for a family vacation or a couples retreat, or for anyone looking for some quiet time in a serene setting.
The open floor plan includes a great room with large sliding doors leading to the private deck overlooking the lake. The interior of the home features tongue and groove wood paneling on the ceilings, an all-new fully equipped kitchen with Quartz countertops, and new Waterproof Vinyl plank flooring. The well-stocked kitchen has all dishes, utensils, and cookware needed to make a family meal. There's a Duo Keurig/drip coffee maker for enjoying your morning coffee, and a bar stocked with barware perfect for making sunset cocktails.
The wraparound multilevel deck offers plenty of seating and shade and will be the centerpiece for your vacation memories. Enjoy coffee in the mornings on the back deck, witnessing the birds and lake come to life each day; take your meals outdoors with a gas grill for cooking, or toast marshmallows around the firepit. Enjoy kayaking, jet skiing, boating, fishing, or swimming in the shallow waters surrounding the dock- all just steps from your cottage doors. Bring your small boat, jet ski, kayak, or paddleboard to take full advantage of all lake life has to offer. There is one manual jet ski/small boat lift on the outside dock available for guest use, or tie up to the dock. Just across the cove, at Twin Bridges Landing, is a marina with a bait shop and boat launch, and there are boat and jet ski rental companies 10 minutes away at Twin Lakes or Sinclair Marina.
The home sleeps up to 6 comfortably with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a bonus loft bedroom. The main level bedrooms are furnished with a King size bed in the first, and the second has 2 twin beds. These rooms share a bathroom. The loft area upstairs has a king-size bed and beautiful views from the Aframe windows of the lake. The full en-suite bathroom in the loft area has a custom tile walk-in shower. There are 3 cable TVs; the living room TV is smart-enabled for streaming, and secure wireless internet.
Bear Creek Lake is a quiet wooded cove of Lake Sinclair on the Northwest side, located in Eatonton, GA, west of 441 - only 30 mins from downtown Milledgeville, and an easy drive from Savannah, Macon, Dublin, Atlanta, Augusta and Athens, GA. Conveniently located for getting supplies - groceries, liquor, dining options, and other services are 10-15 minutes from the cottage in either direction. The water at the dock is approximately 3 feet in depth (no diving). The dock can accommodate a boat up to 20ft in length. One bridge nearby has a clearance of 6-8 feet above the water between the marina and the cottage. Take precautions if traveling by boat from the marina.
